Dear New Albany Neighbor,

This year we are celebrating the 10th season of the New Albany Classic Signature Series. Inspired by the New Albany Classic Invitational Grand Prix & Family Day and our community's desire to raise charitable funds for those in need, the Signature Series continues to offer enriching community events which benefit the greater Central Ohio community.

As in the past, this year's New Albany Classic Signature Series promises to delight our community with a terrific lineup of events. That certainly was the case in February when the Signature Series hosted the opening week festivities for the Jeanne B. McCoy Community Center for the Arts. From the dedication of the 800-seat theatre with a special gala performance by Broadway legends, Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin, to showcases featuring talented students and members of the community, the Center's opening week festivities set the stage for a great year. Once more, the entire week affirmed that New Albany is about community.

The New Albany Classic Invitational Grand Prix & Family Day will take place on Sunday, September 28th. So many of you had the opportunity to experience last year's Classic, which reached its own 10-year milestone. Thousands of kids and families from across Central Ohio enjoyed the music of the wildly popular Jonas Brothers as they performed on stage prior to the main event. There was a multitude of engaging fun activities for the more than 15,000 friends, neighbors and guests in attendance. Still, what remains most impressive about the New Albany Classic is the support it garners for the Columbus Coalition Against Family Violence. Since its inception, the event has raised over $15 million in an ongoing effort to break the cycle of family violence in the Central Ohio community. For that, we are truly grateful.

Leading up to this year's New Albany Classic, a host of special activities and events will occur in our community. Music in the Park featuring TBA Family Concert will take place in Lambton Park on July 20th, followed by Music at Market Square on August 17th with the Columbus Jazz Orchestra and featuring the New Albany Area Chamber of Commerce Taste of New Albany. Both concert events offer the perfect setting to relax and enjoy the company of neighbors and friends while enjoying performances by two outstanding Central Ohio music organizations.

We hope you'll join a few thousand of your neighbors for the 10K New Albany Walking Classic on September 21st. Recently named the country's largest walking-only event, the Walking Classic celebrates New Albany's commitment to a healthy lifestyle. This year's event will include a half marathon and a health and fitness expo scheduled for Friday and Saturday, September 19 and 20 featuring a range of health screenings conducted by local organizations.

Please be sure to mark your calendar for December 4th, the date of the New Albany Community Foundation's annual event, A Remarkable Evening. Plans are currently being made to bring another dynamic speaker to New Albany to interact with students and the community. Stay tuned for the announcement of this year's speaker in early summer.

Again, we are so proud to host another fantastic season for The New Albany Classic Signature Series. We look forward to sharing these enriching experiences with you and we thank you for your ongoing support of these worthy causes.

Sincerely,
Abigail & Les Wexner
